107 Years of Existence
The Madeira Mandolin Orchestra (MMO)® has begun its preparation for the celebration of the 107 years of existence. To mark this celebration, a special event is being prepared at the VidaMar Resort Hotel Madeira “Sunrise” Auditorium.
The event in question is scheduled for February 22nd, from 5 PM.
Under the direction of conductor André Martins, the 30 or so performers of the Orchestra, aged 13 to 46, will aim to provide a show with a program composed of the great classics of international music, adapted to mandolins. For this show some surprises are also being prepared to be presented. This anniversary concert is set in a special context as this will be the first anniversary at the new orchestra’s house, VidaMar Resort Hotel Madeira.
